The mole fraction of solute = 0.2 then the mole fraction of solvent = 1- 0.2 = 0.8.

Molality = moles of solute/kg solvent; Molar Mass H2O=40 g/kg = (0.8 x40)/1000 = 0.032 Molality = 0.2/0.032 = 6.25.

Molality is known as molal concentration which is the measure of concentration of solute in solution with regards to amount of substance in specified quantity of mass of solvent.

Answer:

13.89 m

Explanation:

This means 2 moles of solute in 10 moles of solution

So number of moles of water = 10–2=8

So weight of water = 8*18=144

So hence we have

n=2 , w=144

So molality m=n*1000 / (wt)in grams

= 2000/144= 13.8888888889
