If 30% is mass percentage of NaOH in an aqueous solution then,
NaOH has molar mass 40(Na-23+O-16+H-1). 30% means 30 g of NaOH present in100 mL solution,so amount of solvent is 70 g,
Now
number of moles of NaOH is 30/40 = 0.75,
while number of moles of H2O is 70/18 = 3.89
Total number of moles 0.75 + 3.89 = 4.64
Mole fraction of NaOH will be 0.75/4.64= 0.1616
