Molecular orbital theory says that all electrons present in a atom participate in bonding! But why do we use only the valence electrons in the formation of bonds? Is it not wrong?

yes only valence electrons participate in chemical bonding because valence electrons of each first they attract or repel each other and they bond the inner inner electrons does not participate in chemical bonding cal bonding form when one cation and one anion are comes together IT form chemical bonding and only valency electrons can keep the element stability
