let Monu's age be ≈ X

Monu's father age be ≈ 4 + 3x

and his father age is 46 years

so 4+3x = 46

3x = 46 - 4

3x = 42

x = 42/3 = 14

as Monu's age be X years so his age be 14 years

Answer:

According to the given problem, Mona’s father’s age is 4 years more than three times Mona’s age.

If his father is 46 years old, then Mona’s age is 14 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Let Mona's age be y years.
  • three times of Mona's age is 3×y = 3y years
  • Mona’s father’s age is 4 years more than three times Mona’s age.
  • So, Mona's father’s age is (3y + 4) years.

According to the given problem Mona's father's age is 46 years.

So, we can write,

  (3y + 4) years = 46 years

⇒ (3y + 4) = 46

⇒ 3y = 46 - 4

⇒ 3y = 42

⇒ y   =  42/3 = 14 years.

Hence, Mona’s age is 14 years.
