taking wings unto itself. The normal dictionary expression for "taking wings unto itself" is "take to itself wings " meaning "your money disappears suddenly", but does it mean the same thing here?

It is actually a simple phrase. "Money has a way of taking wings unto itself" states that the money never stays with a single person.


It keeps on moving from one person to another that makes it feel that it has grown some wings and is flying out of the hand with no control.
