Monty takes 2minutes to raise a load of 15 kg from ground to 3rd floor of building whereas pintu takes 1.5 minutes. compare (a) the work done, and(b) powers of monty and pintu

(a) as you know, work done = mass × acceleration due to gravity × height

for both cases, height is same.
load , m = 15kg for both cases.
hence, work done must be same.
so, workdone by Monty = workdone by pintu

(b) power = workdone/time,
e.g., power is inversely proportional to time taken .
here, Monty takes time = 2 min
so, Power of Monty = W/2
and pintu takes time = 1.5 min
so, power of Pintu = W/1.5

so, it is clear that power of Pintu is greater than power of Monty .
