I think and as per my teachers concern, the appropriate moral of story will be:-
"One must not lose hope,even if the circumstances are too bad to resist"
Just like Sher Singh. Though he is too small but saves his brother's life.

Journey by night tells the story of Sher Singh and he is a brave guy... the moral most probably is that one shouldn't lose his head in the crisis...
He helped his brother or saved his life to be precise... All the story asks you is to be brave and optimystic through whatever you go...
