This proverb tells us about the beginning of a work till its end.
If the beginning of the work is good and prosperous then its end will also results good. Likewise a person is known from his childhood that , how he behaves, how he talks, how his attitude is etc. The saints, when they were in childhood the people around them can know easily what he would going to become, how will he behave in the future, how will be his life etc. So, the fact is that if any sort of work is started in a very good and prosperous manner till the end the work will be successfully completed with very nice results.
