Mosquitoes can be controlled by preventing stagnation of water because they lay eggs in water.

Mosquitoes lay eggs in stagnant water and reproduce. Therefore contaminate water and causes diseases. They can also produce harmful pathogens in water which can ultimately contaminate the water bodies. Stagnant water can be highly dangerous for drinking purpose as it can be a source of harmful diseases.
