Mother's age is 6 times daughter's age. After 20 years, mother's age will be twice as daughter's age. Find their percentage

Let the present age of daughter be x.

Present age of mother = 6x

According to Question,

2(x+20) = 6x+20

=> 2x+40 = 6x+20

=> 40-20 = 6x-2x

=> 20 = 4x

=> x = 20/4

=> x = 5

Hence, present age of daughter = 5 years

Present age of mother = 30 years
