Assumption: It is assumed that you want to work hard, and are trying to get a good result in an exam and have started but you are lacking the motivation to sustain the preparation.

During my preparation for GATE (post graduation engineering entrance test in India), there were times when I felt I was down, losing motivation, having doubts about whether I was moving in the right direction or such kind of thoughts.
In this post I share with you some quotes and videos that I found when I looked up to the internet in order to overcome such thoughts. Many of these quotes depict directly only one particular field/aspect of life, but an analogy of the quote can be applied to any field/stream of life you aim to excel in.

Here it goes....

Quote 1:

When you want to excel in something, one thing for sure is: You suffer. You just need to figure out for yourself what kind of suffering you prefer. You have two options:
Option A: Suffer the pain of discipline before the exam. Put up a timetable, stick to the timetable each and every day at any cost. Rise up every morning on time even if you don't feel like. Just do it.
or
Option B: Procrastinate, watch movies, hang around with friends, spend time on gossiping, play some sports and in rest of the time, convince yourself that you want to study and end it there. And, Suffer the pain of regret when the results of the exam are out.

You have these two options before you. The choice is yours.

Quote 2:

An analogy of this quote that can be applicable to some competitive exam aspirants: "The easiness of the exam question paper is decided 100 odd days before the exam day, in your home or hostel room, when you suffer the pain of discipline and study, long before you enter the exam hall on on the day of the exam"

Yes, the marks/rank you get is directly related to your performance on the exam day. But, your performance is directly related to how well you practiced 100 odd days before the exam day.

Quote 3:

You will hate every minute of studying. You get bored. There will be times when you ask yourself 'why am I studying?'. You might be feeling sleepy as soon as you open the books. In those times, tell yourself "Don't quit. Suffer the pain of studying now and live the rest of your life after the exam enjoying the rewards of a good score/rank"

That is it about the quotes part. Below I share a couple of motivational videos. Listen to the audio twice or thrice to get the depth of the message in the videos.
