For this, we can use the formula for distance.

i.e., S_{ n }=ut+\frac { 1 }{ 2 } at^{ 2 }

where S_n is the distance covered; u is the initial velocity of the object which is zero in this case while t is the time.

Now to find the acceleration we have been given the distance traveled in 6th second.

So, S_{ 6 }-S_{ 5 }=\frac { 1 }{ 2 } a(62-52)

              22=\frac { 1 }{ 2 } \times a\times 11

              a=4\frac { m }{ s^{ 2 } }

              S_{ n }=0+\frac { 1 }{ 2 } \times 4\times 62

              S_{ n } = 72m
