TheMoyar Riveris one of the tributaries of theBhavaniinTamil Nadu, South India. The Moyar river originates from a small town called Moyar off the Masinagudi–Ooty road. This is a natural line of separation between Bandipur and theMudumalai sanctuaryto the south.[1]The Moyar River Gorge is 20 kilometres (12 mi) long and is also called the Moyar Canyon. The river flows intothe gorge below Theppakadu in a roaring waterfallcalled Moyar Falls.[2]This river is checked byBhavanisagar Damon the plains nearSatyamangalam, along with theBhavani River.
