\mathtt{\bf{\underline{\red{Given\: :}}}}

Total profit = 24,000

Jake and Sebastian = 3 : 2.

\mathtt{\bf{\underline{\red{According\:to\:the\:question\: :}}}}

Let the amount received by both be ' x '.

3x + 2x = Total profit

=> 3x + 2x = 24,000

=> 5x = 24,000

=> x = 24,000 / 5

=> x = 4800.

So, Jake = 3x

=> 3 × 4800

=> 14,000.

Sebastian = 2x

=> 2 × 4800

=> 9600.

\mathtt{\bf{\underline{\red{Verification\: :}}}}

Jake + Sebastian = Total

=> 14,000 + 9600 = 24,000

=> 24,000 = 24,000.
