Answer:

1500 & 2500

Step-by-step explanation:

mr joshi invested 4000 partly in 4% stock at rs 75 and reaming 6% at 125 the ratio of the income from both the stock is 2:3 find the investment in each stock

Let say Invested in 4% stock at rs 75  = 375A

Share Bought = 375A/75 = 5A

Income = (4/100)5A = 0.2A

Investment in 6% at 125  = 4000 - 375A

Share bought = (4000 - 375A)/125 = 32 - 3A

Income = (6/100)(32 - 3A)  = 1.92 - 0.18A

0.2A/( 1.92 - 0.18A)  = 2/3

=> 0.6A = 3.84 - 0.36A

=> 0.96A = 3.84

=> A = 4

Investement in one stock = 375A = 375*4 =  1500

Investment in other Stock = 4000 - 1500 = 2500
