The total salary be = x Rs

Money spent = 83% of   x Rs

                      =83/100* x Rs        =>  Rs. 83x/100

Savings = Total salary - money spend

              => x - 83x/100     

              =>100x - 83x/100

              =>17x/100.

Given saved amount = 1870 Rs

17x /100 = 1870

x = 1870*100/17

=11,000 Rs

MR. Khanna's monthly salary => 11,000 Rs
