Let the money be divided in 2x and 3x
One son gets Rs 2x and the other gets Rs 3x
2x+3x=1500
5x=1500
x=300
Hence, one son gets Rs 2x=(2x300)=Rs 600
And the other son gets Rs 3x=(3x300)= Rs 900
One son gets Rs 2x and the other gets Rs 3x
2x+3x=1500

Let the money divided among sons be 2x and 3x.........................................
ATQ. 2x+3x= 1500..................... 5x= 1500.................... x= 1500/5........................ x= 300................. Now put the value of x ....... 2x= 2×300= 600......................... 3x= 3×300=900....................... Rs. 600 and Rs. 900 is divided between both the sons. One son gets Rs. 600 and the second gets Rs. 900.
