video:

CP = 20000

Loss = ?

Loss% = 5

Loss% = loss/ CP x100

5 = loss / 20000 x 100

5 x 200 = loss

Loss = 1000

Tv:

Cp = 30000

Gain = ?

Gain % = 8

Gain% = gain / cp x 100

8 = gain / 30000 x 100

8 x 300 = gain

Gain = 2400

Total gain = gain - loss

= 2400 - 1000

= 1400

Answer:

first find the selling price of both and compare it with cost price to obtain profit or loss

Step-by-step explanation:

SPof video=CP×loss price-100/100

=20000×95/100

=19000

SP of tv=CP×profit percent+100/100

=30000×108/100

=32400

CP=20000+30000=50000

SP=19000+32400=51400

CP <SP=profit

Profit=SP-CP

=51400-50000

=1400

Profit percent=profit/CP×100

=1400/50000×100

=2.8%
