Let no. of ₹1 coins = x
and no. of ₹2 coins = y
Now,
from question, y = 2x +3
and x(1) + y(2) = 256
or x+4x+6 = 256
so, x = 50
and y= 103

Answer:

103

Step-by-step explanation:

Total money = 256

Denominations = Rs. 1, Rs. 2

Let number of Rs. 1 coins = x

Then number of Rs. 2 coins = 2x + 3

Value of Rs. 1 coins = x × 1 = x

Value of Rs. 2 coins = (2x + 3) × 2 = 4x + 6

Then:

256 = x + 4x + 6

=》 256 = 5x + 6

=》 250 = 5x

=》 x = 50

Rs. 2 coins = 2x + 3 = 100 + 3 = 103
