Let the salary be 100x
As given in the question,
Domestic expense= 30x. (30%).
Remaining salary= 100x-30x=70x.
Education of children= 14x. (20%).
Conveyance= 7x. (10%).
Remaining salary= 70x-14x-7x= 49x.
Entertainment=9.8x. (20%)
Maintenance= 14.7x. (30%)
Remaining salary or saving=
49x-9.8x-14.7x=24.5x
Also savings=5512.50Rs

So 24.5x= 5512.50Rs
x= 5512.50/24.5
= 225.
Therefore 100x= 22500Rs.
Hence 22500Rs is the monthly salary of Mr.Rahul.
