Answer: Total weight = 6\frac{1}{4} kg

Step-by-step explanation: Weight of Sugar = 2\frac3{4} kg = \frac{11}{4} kg

                                             Weight of Rice = 3\frac{1}{2} kg = \frac{7}{2\\} kg

Total weight = Weight of Sugar + Weight of rice

                       = \frac{11}{4} + \frac{7}{2\\} kg

 Lcm of 2,4 = 4

Total weight =  \frac{11}{4} +  \frac{7}{2\\} * \frac{2}{2}

                      =  \frac{11}{4} + \frac{14}{4} kg

                     = \frac{25}{4} kg

Total weight = 6\frac{1}{4} kg
