Answer:

44,00,000

Step-by-step explanation:

LET MR SMITHS TOTAL PROPERTY BE X

PROPERTY GIVEN TO MR. SMITH'S SON = 1/4*X

PROPERTY GIVEN TO MR. SMITHS DAUGHTER = 1/5*X

REMAINING MONEY = 1/4X-1/5X=X/20

WIFE'S SHARE = 2,20,000=X/20

220000*20=X

4400000

HENCE, MR. SMITH'S TOTAL PROPERTY IS 44,00,000

let total property be x . then

property to his son = x/4

property to his daughter = x/5

and the remaining to his wife = 220000

A/q

x/4 - x/5 = 220000

x/20 = 220000

x = 20 × 220000 = 4400000
