Temperature of drops from 5400 m  = 1 degree per 100 m (given in the question)
height of top peak = 8850 m
temperature at base of Everest  = -5 degree (it is also given in the question)

so,,

height of top peak from the base = 8850 - 5400 = 3450 m
total drops in temperature  = 3450/100 = 34.5 degree

so temperature at top = -5 - 34.5 = -39.5 degree Celsius

-39.5 degree celsisus  is the answer

☆ Answer ☆

 \sf \green{ -39.5°C}

☆ Solution ☆

\rightarrow Height of My. Everest from its base = 8850-5400

3450 m =

\rightarrow Drop in temperature = 3450/ 100 = 34.5 =

\rightarrow Temperature at the top = -5°C - (34.5) °C

= -39.5°C
