During the Shahjahan's reign, he invested a lot on the architectural development of the Mughal empire. In fact, this era is termed as the golden age of the Mughal many years rule. Shahjahan spent a lot of money on architecture and art. It was during his time that many of the historical monuments were made. The examples include his Royal chair, Mayur Singhashan, that was beautifully adorned with gold and diamonds, various tombs and many other monuments. Among the most famous of his constructions was the Taj Muhal, a great site to behold. It is during his error that all these and most of the historical monuments were established.
