Muhammad bin Tughluq introduced many policies which were impratical and nearly ruined the empire as one of the policies are token currency  as in token currency thought to have tide over the financial crisis .copper coins having the same value like the gold coins and silver coins. So every one should use that token currency in that time. however he din't take any steps to ensure that minting of coins was the monopoly of the goverment. everyone in the house started minting and making fake coins.there were no arrangements made also to check the minting circulation.  every  foreign merchant  refused to accept token currency as they thought it could be fake . the token currency had failed as it was far ahead of the times.
