Step-by-step explanation:

(2x - 3)(x - 4)

2 {x}^{2}  - 8x - 3x + 12

2 {x}^{2}  - 11x + 12

so, it is in the form of quadratic equation

Now,

2 {x}^{2}  - 11x + 12 = 0

2 {x}^{2}  - 8x - 3x + 12 = 0

2x(x - 4) - 3(x - 4) = 0

(2x - 3)(x - 4) = 0

(2x-3) = 0 , (x-4) = 0

x = 3/2 , x = 4

hope it's clear now :)
