Solution:

multiply 7/9 to the sum of 8 3/7 and 5 11/14​

8 3/7 = 59/7

5 11/14​ = 81/14

sum of 8 3/7 and 5 11/14​  

=59/7 + 81/14

= ( 118 + 81)/14

= ( 199)/14

multiply 7/9   to the sum of 8 3/7 and 5 11/14​

= (7/9) (199/14)

= (1/9)(199/2)

= 199/18

= 11  1/18
