SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

To multiply the following using appropriate identities

  \sf{(x + 7)(x + 7)}

FORMULA TO BE IMPLEMENTED

We are aware of the identity that

 \sf{ {(a + b)}^{2} =  {a}^{2}  + 2ab +  {b}^{2}  }

EVALUATION

Here we have to multiply

  \sf{(x + 7) \:  \: and \:  \: (x + 7)}

Now

  \sf{(x + 7)(x + 7)}

  \sf{ = {(x + 7)}^{2} }

  \sf{ =  {x}^{2} + 2.x.7 +  {(7)}^{2}  }

  \sf{ =  {x}^{2} + 14x+  49  }
