there is movement involved in muscle cells.... whereas plant are stationed at a single position.... plant movements are much slower than animal movements... hence there is a greater energy requirement for animals than plants.... and hence.... animal cells are having more no. of mitochondrion cells than plants.... this is a possible scientific explanation
