Answer

The gallons of gas needed to make 320 miles =  24 gallons of gas

Explanation

Step 1: To find the gallons of gas needed to make 1mile

The car uses 15 gallons of gas to make 200 miles.

   from this we get,

gallons of gas needed to make 1mile = 15/200 =3/40

Step 2: To find the gallons of gas needed to make 320 miles

Therefore, the gallons of gas needed to make 320 miles = 320 x(3/40) = 24 gallons of gas

Find 1 mile:

200 miles = 15 gallons

1 mile = 15 ÷ 200 = 0.075 gallons

Find 320 miles:

1 min = 0.075 gallons

320 miles = 0.075 x 320 = 24 gallons

Answer: The car uses 24 gallons of gas for 320 miles
