MoreGlobalization in My Life I was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, which may not seem to count as an example of globalization, but I feel that this medium sized border city is the very definition of globalization for many reasons. There is a great amount of cultural diversity. In one neighborhood, you will be able to find a Chinese family living next to an Arabic family who also lives next to a French family. In a public elementary school, you will see a mix of ethnicities in the classroom and those kids will learn so much about the world they live in by learning the cultures of kids around them. I am half Ukrainian on my mother’s side and half Indian on my father’s side. Appearance wise, I look mostly Eastern European because of my pale skin but I have some distinct Indian features such as thick and dark hair, dark eyes and bigger stature. A lot of kids that I grew up with found it odd that I was mixed, but I always found it to be a positive thing. I got to grow up with two different cultures by trying out different food, and learning different languages.
