Solution :-

Let the total be = 1

My sister Rita's share in the rose garden = 3/5th part of the total

My sister Gita has twice that of my share.

Let my share be 'x'

So, my sister Gita's share will be = 2x

Now, according to the question.

x/1 (my share) + 2x/1 (my sister Gita's share) + 3/5 (My sister Rita's share) = 1

⇒ 3x/1 + 3/5 = 1

Taking L.C.M. of the denominators and then solving it, we get.

⇒ (15x + 3)/5 = 1

⇒ 15x + 3 = 5

⇒ 15x = 5 - 3

⇒ 15x = 2

⇒ x = 2/15

Hence, my share in the rose garden is 2/15.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution :-

Let the total be = 1

My sister Gita has twice that of my share.

Let my share be 'x'

So, my sister Gita's share will be = 2x

Now, according to the question.

x/1 (my share) + 2x/1 (my sister Gita's share) + 3/5 (My sister Rita's share) = 1

⇒ 3x/1 + 3/5 = 1

Taking L.C.M. of the denominators and then solving it, we get.

⇒ (15x + 3)/5 = 1

⇒ 15x + 3 = 5

⇒ 15x = 5 - 3

⇒ 15x = 2

⇒ x = 2/15

Hence, my share in the rose garden is 2/15.
