The age of my father is 57 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Let my age be 'x'.

Let the age of my brother be 'x+3'

Let the age of my father be '2x-3'

According to question, it becomes,

\dfrac{2x-3}{5}=\dfrac{x+3}{3}\\\\3(2x-5)=5(x+3)\\\\6x-15=5x+15\\\\6x-5x=15+15\\\\x=30

So, the age of my father would be

2x-3=2\times 30-3=60-3=57\ yrs

Hence, the age of my father is 57 years.
