My friend has an aquarium which has an octopus weighing
3/4 Kg. After a weeks it gained more weight by 2/16 Kg.
later it fell sick and lost 1/2 kg. What is its present
weight ?

3/4+2/16-1/2

=3*4/16+2/16-1*8/16

=12/16+2/16-8/16
