Narrator and grandmother were good friends. She would wake up her early in the morning and get up for school. She would accompany him for school and wait in the temple till his school got over from where they would return home together. She taught him his lessons. Once the shifted to the city, there was a drift in their relationship but nothing could take away the special place she held in the author's heart.
