My hard disk is NTFS type, even then it does not allow to transfer a 60GB file, giving the error,' the file is too large for the destination'. My hard disk has 100GB space in it, please help...

Use any third party tool
and have a full reset of your hard drive, be careful to backup all your data.

I've also experienced such problems, there were two main issues-
•Either the file was corrupted
•or there was some sort of glitch in my drive.

Pratham1011: Ok I will try and tell the result within a week
codeist: Sure :)
codeist: And if it's a removable one, then do the following, run > diskpart > list disk > select disk x (assuming disk number of the drive is x) > clean > create partition primary > list partition > select partition x (now, assuming the partition number to be x )> format fs = NTFS / NTFS quick
codeist: This may do the job
