yes according to the story, it was a good excuse because it was a kingdom of fools. even king and ministers were fool. any excuse will work well there because they won't mind anything and will simply believe because they were FOOLS..
I learnt that we shouldn't trust fools xD we should do what's right and must think before taking any decision.
