mothers age will become (2x+12)

Your age=x+8

mother's=(2x+12+8)

According to question
3(x+8)-20=2x+12+8

3x+24-20=2x+20

3x+4=2x+20

3x-2x=20-4

x=16

Your age will be 16 Years
