My question is why British come to India and why

Well britishers came to india as traders to do trade. Not only britishers but dutches, portuguese and French also came for the commercial purpose . But in 1757, britishers won the battle of Plassey with the help of mir zafar, a sub ordinate of nawab of kolkata 'Sirajudaullah'. Britishers fought that battle and many such to be able to trade without paying taxes to indian govt.

They came to India in 1600.
