Myoglobin occurs in - (d) muscles

Myoglobin is a protein, which serves function of oxygen storage. It is commonly found in muscles, and in large number of mammals.

The mammals living in water have high quantity of myoglobin, which proves the fact that dolphins can live under water for long.

Haemoglobin and myoglobin both have function of oxygen storage, but former is found in blood, while latter in muscles. Both the proteins contain iron group.
