The explanation of following terms with examples :
i)Acetal -
- Acetal is formed when aldehyde reacts with two monohydric alcohols means have one -OH group . It will react in the presence of dry HCL gas then the end product will obtained is called Acetal.
- Acetal contains two alkoxy group which is present at the terminal carbon atoms.
- Example -

ii)Aldol :
- Aldol is produced by condensation of two molecules of same or different aldehydes . It will react in the presence of diluted aqueous bases such as KOH, NaOH etc.
