Plateaus :- It is a highland with flat top.They are usually formed due to volcanic activity. Eg:- Tibetan plateau.
Plains:- It is a large area of flat land which generally consists of a few trees. It is located in a lower ground. Eg:- Eurasian plains.
Surface:- Both plains and plateaus have flat surface.
Slope:- A plain can consist of a slope on the ground, but this cannot be seen on a plateau.
Use :- Plains can be used for cultivation. Plateaus can be used for rearing cattle.
