Lodi dynasty is the ruling family of delhi sultanate from 1451 to 1526. The dynasty was of afghan origin. The first lodi ruler was Bahul lodi (reigned 1451-1489), the most powerful of the punjab chiefs, who replaced the last kind of the Sayyid dynasty in 1451.
