Galvanization is the process in which a protective zinc coating is applied to steel or iron, to prevent rusting. The hot-dip galvanizing method is the most common, in this method parts are submerged in a bath of molten zinc.

Zinc is one such metal used in the galvanization process of iron and during this process, a coating of Zinc layer over the iron is made which obstructs the iron to get rusted if in case it comes in contact with moisture or vapour.
