Plastids are colour giving elements in plants and vegetables.They gives green , yellow , red colour etc. to the plants.
For example - Chrophyll , Beta carotine.
Interconvertible plastids are ofthree types -
1- The colourless cells contain only leucoplast.
2- The green cell both have leucoplast and chloroplast.
3- The ripening fruits have all of therr... leucoplast , chloroplast and chromoplast.
cholroplast give green colour , chromoplast gives diffrent colour to fruits to yellow or red.
