There are three types of industries:

1) Primary industries

2) Secondary industries

3) Tertiary industries

1) Primary industries are those industries which leads generally with raw material and also the collection of natural resources. In India we are mostly depend upon the primary industries.

E.g. : Agriculture/farming , Fishing ,Timber cutting, Dairy , etc

2) Secondary industries are those who deals with conversion of primary materials (and depend upon primary industries).It needs a raw material.

E.g. : Sugar industry (raw material sugarcane) ; Ornaments ( timber ) etc

3) Tertiary industries holds the economic status of our country and provide services to both primary and secondary industries.

Also these support and provide health services , education and transportation.

E.g. Banking ( taxation , interest , and finance) ; College (educationa) ; Hospital (health) , Airlines and trains(transportation) etc
