bro there are no solids with the characteristics of liquid or gases if any solid had characteristics of solid then we could not call it solid and any matter cant have properties of two states and u told about sponge it is a solid but we are able to squeeze it because it have air trapped in it. so it dont have characteristic of liquid or gas cause it is not a fluids ( any thing that flow like gas and liquid ) i hope it helped you
