What is BharatRatna?
It is considered as the highest civilian award of the independent India. It is awarded to the civilian (Indian + non Indian citizen) for their outstanding contribution in various fields such as literature, art, etc.
1. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
=> The vice president of India for the time period of a decade from 1952 to 1962. He was also appointed as President of the Indian nation in the year 1962. He was also a well known philosopher. The birthday of this great scholar is celebrated as teacher's day every year on 5th of September.
2. CV RAMAN
=> CV Raman was a scientist who was acclaimed internationally on the global platform. His full name is Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman shortly referred CV Raman.
He was also awarded by the Nobel Prize in 1930 for his contribution in the field of physics regarding the scattering of light, the changing wavelength of diverted light rays. He also has the privilege of the first ever Indian scientist to have won the prestigious honour of Nobel Prize.
3. Jawaharlal Nehru.
=> The first Prime Minister of the Indian nation was Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He held the office for approximately 17 years and thereby becoming the longest serving Prime Minister of India. 5. Indira Gandhi.
=> The women Prime Minister of India from 1966 to 1977, she held the office for 11 years with a lot of activeness. She is known as the iron lady, her decision were as strong as her will power. She again took responsibility of the office and became Prime Minister for the second time within a decade. She held the office for 4 years this time.
