The Concurrent List

Explanation:

• Matters of common interest like economic and social planning has been placed in the concurrent list. Both the states and the Union  has the authority to make laws on these subjects.

• The Subjects included in the Concurrent List are- Public order, police, public health and sanitation; hospitals and dispensaries, betting and gambling are some of the subjects that come under the state.

• The laws on these subjects can be made by the government at the state as well as at the centre. In case of conflict between state and centre, the centre prevails.
