"2 literacy programs" started by "Government of India" are "National Literacy Mission Programme" and "Saakshar Bharat".  

1. "National Literacy Mission Programme" : This program was introduced and  aims to "educate 80 million people" in the age group of "15-35 years". It also aims at educating people so as to enhance their skills and make them self sufficient which will improve their well being.

2. Saakshar Bharat: This programme was launched in "September 2009" by then Prime Minster "Manmohan Singh". It aims at imparting education to girl child and focuses on Adult education i.e. all those people who were unable to receive formal education as kids come under this program.
